Soheil Alavi
Soheil Alavi is an entrepreneur, product designer and host of the podcast Tabaghe 16. He founded Reyhoon and co-founded Tribe, with experience building businesses in Iran and abroad. In his account in FUSE 33, his school-age interests in computers, website design, and the making of films and games connect with self-directed learning and a desire to build.
The name Tabaghe 16 comes from his home on the sixteenth floor of a building in Toronto, where friends and startup colleagues gathered during the pandemic. Alavi explains that the podcast grew from his own conversations and real questions, becoming a way to exchange experience and stay connected with the Persian-speaking community.
In FUSE 33, he and Arash Nalchegar discuss Reyhoon, the role of capital and sanctions, the costs of migration, individual responsibility and AI opportunities. His understanding of entrepreneurship extends beyond earning money to identifying problems, learning, building teams and creating solutions, a perspective challenged by Arash's questions about structural constraints.
