Dr Farhad Zehi Bakhsh is an Istanbul-based obstetrician and gynaecologist who practises in Turkey under the professional name Ferhat Uysal. He was born in Urmia, Iran, where he completed his primary and secondary education.
He studied medicine at Ankara University’s Faculty of Medicine from 1985 to 1992, then completed specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Istanbul University’s Istanbul Faculty of Medicine from 1992 to 1996. Between 1996 and 2006, he worked as an obstetrician and gynaecologist at the private Doğan Hospital.
He now works at his private practice in Bakırköy, Istanbul. His work encompasses women’s health, pregnancy and childbirth, and the assessment and treatment of infertility.
